In November Colorado voters will have the opportunity to vote on Proposition 103, a measure that will increase revenues and provide additional funding for education. Click here to see how the proposition would increase income, corporate and sales taxes in order to provide about $500 million for education in the first year. Ultimately the legislature and governor would decide how the new revenue would be divided among K12 and higher ed. For the purposes of Backseat Budgeter, Engaged Public used a proportional allocation--82% to K12 and 18% to higher ed.
